Belted fast in a safety jacket to prevent any injury, a wounded sailor is hoisted to shore from a British trawler. It is part of the duties of the Civil Defense Volunteers, working along the English coasts, to go to the aid of trawlers attacked by enemy ajrcraffsand to bring home any wounded men.
