"Stinger" Gun in Plane's Tail Guards Vulnerable Spot

Item

Operated by a gunner lying prone, a fifty-caliber machire gun in the tail of the army’s latest medium bomber guards what formerly was regarded as the most vulnerable part of a warplane. Thus, the bomber has a real “stinger” for enemy planes approaching the tail. Other armament on the craft includes machine guns in the wings, and turrets in the sides and top.
