Worker's "Passport" Photo Card Keeps Spies Out of Factory

Item

To keep suspected “fifth columnists” and other unauthorized persons from entering factories engaged in national defense work, a camera unit produces identification cards bearing the employe’s photograph, description and registered number. The camera is prefocused, standardized lighting is used and no special skill is required to operate it. The “passport” photograph is taken of the worker's face with a scale in the back to show his height.
