Release of Trigger Fires Gun as Safety Latch Is Pressed

Item

Instead of firing when the trigger is pulled, a new type trigger fires the shot when it is released. An additional safety factor is a latch which must be depressed to permit the gun to fire. The trigger is- adaptable to firearms of both slow and rapid fire. When the weapon is grasped, the trigger is pulled completely back, and at the same time the safety latch (behind the trigger guard on a rifle, or in the butt of a revolver) is depressed by the remaining fingers. The trigger then moves forward three-twentieths of an inch to fire.
