Army Tests Latest "Trackless" Tank For Reconnaissance Units

Item

Officials of the War Department were given their first view recently of a “trackless” tank which is a departure from former types and may offer wider military use. Preliminary tests made at Fort Myer, Va, indicated the tank may be adaptable for reconnaissance purposes. It is reported that plans are made for redesign of the superstructure so suitable weapons may be added.
