Caption: U. S. Destroyers Have Greatly Profited By Actual War Experience, for They Became So Proficient In the Use of the "Depth Bomb" - a Wonderful New Weapon In Itself-That They Could Set Up a Veritable "Subaqueous Barrage." Also They Can "Shoot" Depth Bombs for a Distance of One-half Mlle or More. Unlike Shells They Do Not Ricochet or Slip, But Penetrate the Water to a Certain Depth and Then Explode.
