Air-Borne Troops Go "Aloft" in Plane Mockup

Item

America’s air-borne infantry is being trained in the loading of “peeps,” bicycles and other equipment on airplanes for transport to danger spots in the line of battle. The men receive preliminary training in “mockup” fuselages, replicas of the army transport planes in which they later receive advanced training. Midget army cars, bikes and light artillery are rolled into the “mockups” on ramps.
