extracted text (Extract Text): ALTHOUGH he looks as though he might have been made up to play the rôle of a monster in a horror movie, the man pictured at the left is actually a Swedish soldier wearing a weird fleece mask that serves the purpose of protecting his face from the bitter winds and intense cold encountered during winter maneuvers in the northern section of his country. Note the fur- lined eye openings.
