FOUR-WAY PROTECTION for
fighters is provided by the Navy's
latest battle costume. Though it
weighs less than four pounds, the
garment contains enough kapok
stuffing to stop bomb and shell
fragments, keep the wearer from
drowning, and prevent “blast”
shock from underwater explosions.
It also guards against burns.
