Part of Models Show How "Slow Roll" Is Performed in the Air
By using model planes, students at Randolph Field, Tex., illustrate how a “slow roll” is performed in flight. Thus, they learn the respective positions in which their planes should be at certain stages in the maneuver. Starting level, the plane is rotated around its longitudinal axis with the ailerons. If done correctly, no altitude is lost.
