Part of Soldiers Use Boats to Ferry Tank over River

In demonstrating river-crossing technique, companies A and B, fifth engineers, at Fort Belvoir, Va., recently showed how two flat-bottom boats could be used to float a medium war tank when they encounter water too deep to ford and too wide to bridge. The tank was lashed between the boats, and soldiers ferried it across.
