Fast Climbing Interceptor Plane Has 36,200-Foot "Ceiling"

Invading bombers will confront a stiffer challenge from the new Curtiss-Wright interceptor airplane thatclimbs swiftly to meet an attack. Designed for a foreign government, the ship hasproved its ability to climb higher than 5,000 feet in one minute. Its top speed is over 300 miles an hour and its ceiling 36,200 feet.
