Members of the crack new 501st Parachute Battalion training at Fort Benning, Ga., have been equipped with new uniforms, plastic helmets, and shoes with inner soles of sponge rubber to absorb the shock of landing. The suits are in one piece, made from snagproof olive drab material, and are liberally furnished with pockets sealed with slide fasteners.
