War Scenes Molded in Sandg by Crippled Sculptor
extracted text (Extract Text)
Sand is an effective medium under the fingers of a skilled western sculptor in producing realistic war scenes and other studies. Although handicapped by the loss of both legs, he fashions elaborate sets on the beach, using only a few simple tools. Proper moistening and mixing give the sand the necessary consistency, and the figures last for some time in spite of winds and sun.
